Greedfall

Greedfall was shown off for a second time, now focusing more on the social aspects of the game, especially regarding the player, their journey, and the party they form – Greedfall enables players to create a tightly-knit team of 3 companions; factoring heavily into dialogue, gameplay and romance options, you need to keep a close eye on your followers to ensure they remain complacent to your leadership…

Greedfall arrives on Xbox, PlayStation 4 and Steam on 10th September 2019.

The Surge 2

The Surge 2 returns to the Xbox big-screen with a brand new trailer showing off new gameplay elements, the new short-hop and duck dodging mechanics, the new customisable drone assistant, and the new implants and injectibles system that provides passive and active benefits to players on their journey through Jericho City.

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep brings new gameplay systems and exciting new battles to the hit live service title, including a brand new Finisher system, which is fully customisable with a plethora of new unique benefits and bonuses such as awarding invisibility, healing, ammo drops and more. Be careful though as you’re not invincible during these finishers!

Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches on October 1st.

Metro Exodus: Two Colonels Expansion

Returning fans of the Metro universe to the gritty underground of prior titles, Metro Exodus’ Two Colonels expansion thrusts players into a dark, looming underground labyrinth filled to the brim with horrific mutated monstrosities. You even get a flamethrower! Elon Musk would be proud.

XO19

As a short aside, Xbox announced that their annual conference, XO19, is to be held in London this year featuring a slew of famous Xbox-related personell! XO19 will run starting November 14th.

Gears of War 5 – Horde Mode

The main star of today’s show, Gears of War 5’s Horde Mode got it’s world premier featuring a massive list of new features, such as unique playable characters, the new Ultimates (Ranging from X-Ray vision to an airstrike, to cloaking and hijacking enemies to control), a huge list of new challenges and, most surprisingly, a new collaboration featuring Emile and Kat from Halo: Reach! The two new guest characters retain their original English voice actors and armour models, and come with unique Ultimates – Kat utilizing a Hologram, and Emile utilizing a Drop Shield.

Additional to this a limited edition Gears of War 5 Xbox One X console, Seagate 5TB and 3TB hard drives, controller, Razer wireless keyboard and mouse and clothing merch were all announced!

Finally, expect to see a brand new trailer for Gears of War 5’s story mode in today’s Gamescom Opening Night Live event!
