London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion have both successfully won their matches of the Overwatch League Quarter-finals, against Los Angeles Gladiators and Boston Uprising respectively.
London Spitfire defeated Gladiators 2-1 today, earning them the fourth and final space on the Quarterfinals, alongside Los Angeles Valiant, New York Excelsior, and today’s other champion Philadelphia Fusion– making the Spitfire the only team based outside of the USA to make it this far.
Philadelphia Fusion themselves earned their spot by defeating Boston Uprising 2-1 yesterday.
The Semi-Finals start July 18, with Fusion and Excelsior competing at 5:00PM PDT, and Spitfire facing down Valiant two hours later at 7:00PM PDT.
Given that most of Respawning’s writers live in England, I think you can have a fair guess as to which team we’ll be supporting.
