Mega Man 11 is gearing up for its October 2018 release date, on the series 30th anniversary!

Capcom has confirmed that Mega Man will return on October 2, 2018, in a brand new title.

Dr. Wily has returned and is back to his nefarious ways, investing in an old project he worked on alongside Dr. Light while the two studied at Robot University- the ‘Double gear System’. Desperate to stop him, Dr. Light has upgraded Mega Man with this system, allowing him to use greater powers than ever before.

The veteran development team behind this new entry has retained the series’ core gameplay gamers have come to know and love, with a focus on jumping, sliding and shooting, defeating robot masters and taking their powers is still the core of the game, and swapping between all the new powers is now easier thanks to a useful weapon wheel.

The ‘Double Gear’ system in Mega Man 11 adds a unique new twist on the satisfying platforming action, offering options to enhance Mega Man’s speed and power on the fly- the Gear system allows Mega Man to switch between having more powerful weapons and movement abilities on the fly, or gain both bonuses when at critical health.

In addition to Mega Man 11, fans have a lot to look forward to this year; with Mega Man Legacy Collection 1 + 2 on Nintendo Switch newly released this month, and all 10 of the original series now playable on the platform.

Additionally, all of the games in the more mature ‘X’ series will be available in Mega Man X Legacy Collection 1 + 2, coming this July 24, 2018 to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation®4 system, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
