A full ground up remake of Yakuza 2 has been announced called Yakuza Kiwami 2! It has a Japanese release date for 12th December, 2017.

The game will using the Dragon Engine from Yakuza 6 so there will be revamped combat and possibly more extras just like in the first Kiwami game!
There’s been no word on whether or not this will have a Western release, but judging by the recent track record. I’d say it’s pretty likely!
