In the past, Rockstar Games and Sony have expressed that PlayStation 4 owners of Red Dead Redemption 2 will have 30 days of early and exclusive access some in-game content, and today it was disclosed exactly what that content will be.
In a new blog post, Sony USA proudly announced that the content would include an outfit, a horse and saddle, as well as a revolver, to help completely deck out players early on.
The Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit will feature a wool-lined longcoat with leather accents, a patterned leather vest, black neck-kerchief and an ornate belt buckle (with matching boot tips). It is designed in homage to the boss that controls the Northern States.
The horse on offer is an Arabian Red Chestnut, which is said to be crafted from the southern winds themselves in Bedouin mythology. Fittingly, the horse is much better than those you’ll typically come across in the wild, and is an immediate upgrade from First Tier horses one would otherwise have initial access to.
The saddle that accompanies the Arabian Red Chestnut is the Alligator Skin Ranch Cutter Saddle; an enhanced version of the basic saddle, this not only looks more stylish, but provides a boost to your horse’s health and stamina whilst equipped.
Finally, we come to the High Roller Double-Action Revolver – a slick handgun crafted from polished steel, and engraved with period-accurate decorations similar to those found amongst the wealthier gunslingers of the time: Playing cards and skulls. The revolver itself is also faster than stock revolvers in the game.
Whilst only the Grizzlies Outlaw Outfit is available in Story Mode day one at launch, the rest of the items will unlock at the launch of the title’s online mode shortly after. Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on Playstation 4 and Xbox One later this month, on October 26th.
