Styx: Shards of Darkness – Cooperative assassination revealed in new trailer

Styx: Shards of Darkness, Cyanide Studio’s new Stealth game, arrives March 14th to PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Today’s new trailer showcases how you and a friend can sneak your way through the game together, jumping, climbing, hiding, joking and killing together thanks to the game’s drop-in/drop-out coop mode.

At any time during your adventure, you are able to invite a friend to join your current session to sneak around with you for an alternative stealth experience. Two players opens up many more opportunities for clearing a level and reaching the objectives, but also doubles the risk of being spotted. Assassination partners must co-ordinate carefully in order to succeed!

Work together to create elaborate distractions, unleash dastardly synchronized assassinations, and run circles around larger enemies – every level and mission is playable in coop and will open a new array of gameplay possibilities.

Styx: Shards of Darkness comes March 14th, 2017 to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. You can preorder the game now at participating retailers and get bonus DLC.

Following its positive reception from press and players, the centuries-old goblin assassin Styx returns in a new stealth game, Styx: Shards of Darkness, with a bigger budget, bigger ideas, and a new engine: Unreal 4. Master of Shadows was a valiant exploration into the world of the green goblin thief, but Shards of Darkness will delve deeper into a complex narrative and fully realized world. Following the fall of Akenash tower, an extraordinary matter has forced Styx out of hiding to infiltrate Körangar, the city of the Dark Elves. Supposedly impregnable, a diplomatic summit offers Styx a chance at slipping in unnoticed, as he learns that the event is nothing but a mere façade… Embark upon a stealthy adventure with new enemies, new environments, and a plethora of new mechanics aimed at refining the abilities and movement of Styx; grappling around corners, climbing ropes, and using his trusty knife as a zip-wire. Shards of Darkness aims to offer unparalleled freedom of movement, along with refined stealth and assassination mechanics, expanding and improving on the strengths of Styx: Master of Shadows. Styx: Shards of Darkness comes to PS4, Xbox One, and PC next year.

  • A brand new adventure in the universe of a centuries-old goblin assassin, taking you to the city of the Dark Elves
  • New engine: beautiful graphics created in Unreal Engine 4
  • New enemies, new environments, new abilities and improved stealth mechanics for Styx
  • Unique co-op mode – join a friend’s game to sneak and stab through missions together

Introducing Overwatch’s newest hero: Orisa!!

A brand-new character is now live on the Overwatch PTR! Orisa—the 24th hero and sixth tank to join the Overwatch lineup—is a four-legged robot designed by a brilliant 11-year-old engineer to keep the peace in Numbani.

Specially outfitted for maximum fortification and built from the scraps of the city’s decommissioned OR15 defense bots, Orisa is still learning how to optimally perform her function. But what she lacks in experience, she makes up for in dedication to keeping her city—and her creator, Efi—safe from harm.

Orisa’s abilities include:

  • Fusion Driver — A rapid-fire automatic gun that touts good range and accuracy even at a distance
  • Protective Barrier — Throw a device that creates a stationary shield, perfect for intercepting projectiles and protecting teammates

GAMBITIOUS DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT to Publish Wild Factor’s Evil Mansion Management and Strategy Game MachiaVillain on PC!

Gambitious Digital Entertainment has announced it will publish MachiaVillain, the evil mansion management and strategy game from independent developer Wild Factor. Inspired by classic gaming experiences like Dungeon Keeper and the tropes of horror cinema, this insidious title is expected to arrive this autumn on Windows PC, Mac and Linux.

MachiaVillain challenges players to build their own mansions up from harmless houses to nightmarish palaces of terrors. Lure locals inside, set deadly traps or let your minions feast on their flesh. But beware – even horror movie monsters have a code to honour. To become the scariest neighbourhood menace, you’ll have to slay by the rules… target victims when they’re alone, keep the virgin alive until the end, and never, ever hurt the dog.

Assemble and manage a menagerie of monstrous minions, balancing their unique traits, needs and fighting styles, then customize the mansion to make them feel at home. Players can use resources from the environment and leftover body parts from dismembering to craft new items to help keep the manor safe from supernatural creatures and monster hunters who would threaten to topple their gruesome ascent to glory.
