New Additional Downloadable Contents Available: “Corpse Party BloodCovered” coming to RPG Creation Software “SMILE GAME BUILDER”

SmileBoom Co. Ltd. announced today that, in collaboration with Team GrisGris, creators of the popular horror adventure game “Corpse Party,” new downloadable contents including sets and model data from “Corpse Party BloodCovered” were added to their RPG creation software “SMILE GAME BUILDER”. The contents are are available from February 28th, 2017.

Corpse Party, with its unique world and series of tragic events, has struck fear and wonder into the hearts of many a player since its first version release in 1996. In recent years, it has spread out from the game world into many different forms of media including a comic, novel, OVA, and live action film.

The downloadable content will include scenes and character data based on the world of the most popular of the Corpse Party series, the Windows version of “Corpse Party BloodCovered.” This model data set will allow you to recreate that unique world and horror scene within SMILE GAME BUILDER.

Ubisoft Announces Rabbids VR Experience For Daydream, Available This Spring

Today, Ubisoft announced that Virtual Rabbids: The Big Plan, the first VR Rabbids experience on mobile, will be released this spring on Daydream, Google’s platform for high-quality mobile VR. Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier in collaboration with Bucharest, specifically for virtual reality, the mobile game is based on the Rabbids franchise, which has sold more than 14 million video games worldwide, and are regularly featured in a television show that airs in more than 110 countries.

In Virtual Rabbids, a few irreverent Rabbids have stolen and scrambled a top-secret nuclear safety password. Players are called upon by a classified government agency to travel through different locations in a hilarious adventure to recover the missing digits. Players will find themselves in some of the most precarious situations as they race to save the planet.

Daydream gives players the opportunity to get even closer to the Rabbids than ever before. Using the headset and controller, players will be plunged into the crazy world of the Rabbids, which includes various levels that are full of hidden toys, an arsenal of tools and nutty gadgets. The Daydream controller lets you interact with the virtual world in the same way you do in the real world, making the gameplay experiences richer and more immersive.

Blue Rider Digital & Physical Editions Launching in Asia this Spring

Eastasiasoft Limited, the independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment, announced that Blue Rider, a shoot ‘em up game from developer Ravegan S.A., will launch for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system on the PlayStation®Store in Asia and Japan on March 10, 2017 for US$9.99/¥1280 (incl. tax).

A physical edition of Blue Rider will be available for purchase in April. The Blue Rider Limited Edition contains a Blue Rider PS4™ game disc, soundtrack CD, numbered certificate and collector’s box. Limited to just 2,500 copies worldwide, the Blue Rider Limited Edition will be available at online retailer Play-Asia.com for US$29.99.

Klang Games to reveal partnership with Improbable and demo new MMO simulation project at GDC 2017

It has been announced by Berlin-based independent game developer Klang Games, that the studio will be revealing a new partnership with UK software developer Improbable for its upcoming MMO simulation project, SEED, at GDC 2017 in San Francisco, California.

During the session hosted by Improbable, Building Worlds with SpatialOS: Developers Discuss Next-Generation Online Gaming, Klang Games’ Founder & CEO Mundi Vondi will be announcing the partnership and exclusively demoing a prototype of SEED.

SEED is a continuous persistent simulation where the player’s goal is to take over a vast planet to ensure the survival of humanity. Using unique gameplay based on managing multiple characters, players collaborate to create a world driven by real emotion and ambition.

SEED will be among the portfolio games to be utilising Improbable’s SpatialOS. The platform will allow SEED to be a persistent, continuously running simulation, with all SEED-Universe game logic running and living on the technology’s powerful server.

New Trailer Teases Footage from “Crowe: The Drowned Armory”, Set for April Launch

The Rogue Initiative, a full spectrum production studio specializing in cinematic, interactive virtual reality, film, television and games, today announced that they will debut the trailer for their VR experience Crowe: The Drowned Armory in San Francisco at the annual Game Developers Conference (GDC), March 1-3, in the Minkonet booth. Players will take on the role of Crowe, a young villager who must interact with in-game characters to solve puzzles, combat an alien onslaught, and uncover the secrets of an ancient temple that could help unravel the true past of his society. The original Crowe franchise from the emerging studio, which launched last year, will feature a beautifully designed environment where sci-fi and fantasy come together in an episodic release featuring cinematic, story, and arcade-style survival modes.
