THE ESCAPISTS 2 MULTIPLAYER TRAILER BREAKS OUT
Award-winning international games label Team17 and developer Mouldy Toof have today released a brand new multiplayer trailer for The Escapists 2, the follow up to their award-winning prison-escape game The Escapists which recently celebrated reaching over four million downloads.
Being able to plan escapes with their friends has been the fans’ most requested feature since the series’ debut in February 2015, and the team at Mouldy Toof and Team17 are thrilled to be able to deliver a seamless multiplayer experience to players in The Escapists 2. Budding escapists will be able to take part in both co-op and versus multiplayer modes, playing either locally or online, for up to four players*.

Drop-in, drop-out multiplayer capability allows you to carefully plan and execute an intricate escape from your initial incarceration with your fellow inmates either online or locally, or simply hop into an existing game already in progress to help pull off the final touches of the escape!
You can experience the entire campaign of The Escapists 2 solo or by teaming up with others but however you choose to do it, escaping won’t be easy. You’ll have to work around the strict prison schedule and avoid the unwanted attention of guards. Craft weapons and tools found (or stolen) from within the prison, but beware of cell shakedowns. Get a job or undertake quests to purchase vital supplies, all while scouting escape routes – you may even uncover some unique escapes that cannot be undertaken alone!
The Escapists 2 will be coming to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2017.

LITTLE NIGHTMARES Secrets of The Maw will add 3 new chapters to the game telling the tale of a parallel escape story. Unveil all the secrets of The Maw as The Runaway Kid, another prisoner looking for a way out of this place of misfortune. On his journey, The Kid will visit unseen areas of the Maw in 3 different chapters: The Depths, The Hideway and a last secret location offering a different perspective on Six’s adventures as well as new challenges to overcome.
In The Depths, the first chapter to be released in July, the Runaway Kid will explore a decayed and flooded basement where he must try to escape from an insidious threat that lurks underwater. In November, you will be able to visit The Hideway, a machine-themed section where the Nomes reside. The third and final chapter to be released in January will decide the fate of The Runaway Kid.
LITTLE NIGHTMARES is available in digital and physical format on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Expansion Pass LITTLE NIGHTMARES Secrets of The Maw can be pre-purchased on Steam, PlayStation Network and XboxLive. The Complete Edition including the base game and the Expansion Pass is also available for pre-purchase across the same platforms. All future content that is part of LITTLE NIGHTMARES Secrets of The Maw will be accessible in-game once it is available.
DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT REDEFINES THE BRAWLER GENRE
SQUARE ENIX announced that DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY NT will make its North American debut on the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system in early 2018. Developed in partnership with veteran fighting game studio, Team NINJA from KOEI TECMO GAMES, this team-based brawler pits legendary heroes and villains from the FINAL FANTASY franchise together in epic and strategic team battles.
Offering strategic online and offline play, players can select from over 20 legendary characters and familiar summons, including Ifrit, Shiva and Odin, to bring into 3 vs. 3 battle. The game also brings back the DISSIDIA series’ unique “bravery combat system,” alongside unparalleled visuals and seamless gameplay.

NEXON AMERICA REVEALS MASSIVE MULTIPLE CONTENT UPDATES FOR MAPLESTORY
Fans of the immersive massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) MapleStory, prepare to get charged up for summer as Nexon America reveals its latest content updates. ‘Override: Evolve’ is expected to go live for players in June and ‘Override: Venture’ in July.
MapleStory brings players into Maple World, a peaceful place with a dark history involving the sinister Black Mage. Six legendary heroes fought off the Black Mage in order to protect Maple World and its citizens. The two epic content updates will allow players to strengthen their characters with new job skills, fight in new areas and travel to a new planet.
‘Override: Evolve’ will feature:
- Stronger Skills For 5th Job Advancement: Every class will gain access to new 5th job advancement skills, making them more powerful than ever;
- Exciting ‘Legion System’: Characters who become ‘Legion Members’ will have access to the ‘Synergy Grid’ which will give players special bonuses depending on their ‘Legion Rank’. Players can upgrade their rank and earn rewards;
- New and Improved ‘Omega Sector’: Players will be able to visit Dr. Kim in his lab as he prepares to investigate the nearby UFO with his team of M-Forcers. Prepare to visit new maps and fight new monsters, including a new boss!
‘Override: Venture’ will feature:
- ‘Eluna Event’: Travel to the colony planet of Eluna, where players can mine the riches to earn experience and level up. Minerals can be acquired by hunting monsters, completing missions, overcoming traps and more;
- New Epic Area ‘Arcana’: Arcana is home to the Spirit Tree which has started to lose its power. Players must help the spirits of the forest save the tree from dying. Complete quests and receive the new Arcane symbol ‘Arcana’.
MapleStory is the original side-scrolling MMORPG where epic adventure, action and good friends await players as they embark on a hero’s journey to stop the sinister Black Mage and his minions from terrorizing Maple World. With over 40 unique classes to choose from, an almost limitless number of cosmetic options and hundreds of hours of gameplay available to experience, players will train a mighty hero, conquer perilous dungeons and terrifying bosses as part of their never-ending MapleStory.

The Surge unleashes HDR support for PS4 and PS4 Pro
HDR support has arrived for Deck 13’s hardcore Action-RPG The Surge, on PS4 and PS4 Pro. Players can now enjoy more natural lighting, a wider color range and enhanced details at contrasted levels of brightness, creating more realistic and immersive visuals.
The Surge has already been lauded for its optimization and performance, with fast load times and impeccable framerates. PS4 Pro owners already have the option to play in Dynamic 4K at 30fps or in 1080p at 60fps. This support for Sony’s platforms continues even further today, as players on both PS4 and PS4 Pro can activate the option to play with HDR. Once HDR is activated within the base console settings, players will see the option in-game under video settings to toggle HDR on or off.

Social Sandbox MMO Pixel Worlds Introduces a Major Update for iOS and Android Players
Finnish developer Kukouri, the creative force behind the Tiny Trooper franchise, today released a major update for Pixel Worlds, the highly social sandbox online multiplayer game with charming 2D pixel art graphics. The biggest update since the Pixel Worlds launch on iOS and Android in early 2017 includes cross-platform play across mobile, PC and Mac, new quests, over 100 new items, boosters and more.
“Cross-platform support across mobile and PC was the top requested feature by the Pixel Worlds community on mobile and tablets, and we are beyond excited to finally bring this idea to fruition”, said Kim Soares, CEO of Kukouri. “With over one million players on mobile, we highly value our community feedback, hence this update consists of various features suggested and requested by our loyal players.”
The Pixel Worlds update includes complete cross-platform play with the ability to play Pixel Worlds on mobile, tablets or PC and Mac (after the game’s Steam release on Friday 9th June). With the inclusion of new tutorial quests and daily quests, Kukouri have added over 100 new items including new Tier 8 and New Daily bonuses so players can continue to farm, build, trade items and use a combination of items to build a world that is unique to their character. Additionally, the new update includes the Samuraiii booster, featuring dozens of samurai themed items, clothes and blocks. Finally, Shogun Blueprints can be used to create a rare armor set, in line with the samurai theme.
Going all out with social media integration, Kukouri fosters Pixel Worlds’ community by not only playing the game daily themselves and interacting with players, but also by arranging weekly streams on Youtube, Twitch and Mobcrush, as well as promoting user and influencer videos in-game as a part of their Influencer Program.
GAMBITIOUS DIGITAL ENTERTAINMENT RELEASES DEBUT GAMEPLAY TRAILER FOR OUTREACH, PIXEL SPILL’S COLD WAR SPACE ADVENTURE GAME
Gambitious Digital Entertainment has released the first official gameplay trailer for Outreach, the upcoming zero-gravity adventure game from independent developer Pixel Spill.

A narrative mystery set near the end of the Cold War, Outreach follows one cosmonaut’s search for the missing crew of a Soviet space station in the frigid reaches of Earth’s orbit. Players must explore the crippled remains of the installation, navigating an abandoned environment filled with historically-accurate technology and objects from the 1980s, to discover the fate of its lost souls.
Between the claustrophobic spaces of its interior and the unforgiving void outside, players will get to experience a realistic world of weightlessness. Travel by pushing off from surfaces and gripping onto others to keep from floating away.
Outreach will be playable for the first time at E3 in Los Angeles this month. The game will be featured at Gambitious’ press area inside the Devolver Indie Picnic across from the convention center’s main entrance. Lead voice actors Adam Harrington, known for his performance as Bigby Wolf in The Wolf Among Us, & Seamus Dever, known for his role as Detective Kevin Ryan in the ABC series Castle, will also be available for interviews.
