Experience the Grim and Emotional Indie Puzzle-Platformer World of One — Out Now on STEAM
The Grimwood Team are pleased to announce the release of their debut title, a dark and atmospheric puzzle-platformer game called World of One on PC, Mac, and Linux. Budding survivalists can pit themselves against the never-before-seen lunar physics in World of One’s grayscale universe for just $6.99 on STEAM. Players who are brave enough to try and tackle the game’s elaborate puzzles (with some that feature multiple solutions) will receive a 10% discount in the first week of launch.
World of One has a distinctive art style shaded by ghoulish greys with unconventional gameplay mechanics that are tied together by a deeply emotional narrative. As players explore the grayscale environments in World of One, they will discover that deadly traps, tricky puzzles with unique lunar physics, and terrifying monsters await on their journey. To advance to the next planet, each with its own unique set of challenges, players must defeat the demanding monstrosities that haunt them. As players move through this grim journey, they will begin to unravel a haunting storyline that offers three endings to this dark tale that will be determined by their actions. Will you have what it takes to discover the truth about yourself?
World of One is a fresh take on the traditional puzzle-platformer genre by including the following unique gameplay features:
- Unique in Game Physics: The stylized world in World of One isn’t just all eye candy. The large glowing moon above will change the in-game physics. That means in addition to wits, players will also need to rely on the environment to help them complete these puzzles!
- Multiple Solutions to Puzzles: Advance through distinctive planets by completing challenging puzzles but stay on your toes! Some puzzles will have multiple solutions for players to try and wrap their brains around.
- To The Left and Right: In most side scrollers, players can really go in one direction. In World of One, some planets will give players the choice to go either left or right to try and solve the puzzles and defeat the monsters.
- Three different Endings: The player’s fate will be in their hands based on the decisions they make.
- Stylish and Dark Art Style: Tim Burton fans are sure to delight in World of One’s gothic inspired dark and moody visual treats.

Dead Effect 2 VR now available on Steam Early Access
Independent game developer BadFly Interactive today announced that Dead Effect 2 VR, a standalone VR version of its acclaimed first-person shooter Dead Effect 2 is now available on Steam Early access for HTC Vive and Oculus Rift. The game has been recreated from the ground-up with VR-optimized controls, weapon dual-wielding and improved weapon models for a truly terrifying VR horror experience.
Designed to scare the living bejeezus out of players, Dead Effect 2 VR is set aboard a colony spaceship where things have gone disastrously wrong. Players awake from cryostasis to discover that a virus has broken out on the ship. All their crewmates have been turned into flesh-eating creatures who roam the corridors looking for their next meal. Determined to open up a can of whoop-ass on the zombie hordes, the player’s mission is simple – seize control of the monster-infested ship, uncover its dark secrets and make it out in one piece.
Before setting out, players have a choice of playing as one of three characters, each with their own unique skill sets and weapons. Gunnar Davis specialises in heavy weaponry and explosives, Jane Frey is prolific with short-ranged weaponry, and Kay Rayner is a melee specialist, packing razor-sharp blades to slice and dice her enemies. Each character can be further customised with various armor parts and implants from dozens of different sets and passive skills.
Dead Effect 2 VR’s armoury is packed with tons of upgradeable weapons including flamethrowers, shotguns, samurai swords, machine guns, grenades and mines. The Early Access version has over a dozen weapons with more to follow in future updates. And if an arsenal of the latest hi-tech death-dealing weapons isn’t enough, players can also upgrade their character and gain access to powerful abilities. These include bullet-time that allows players to temporarily slow down time as well as the force field power that cloaks players in a protective field when opposition numbers become that little bit too heavy.
Dead Effect 2 VR will launch with 10 hours of single-player campaign content. For those who are looking for more combat and loot, there are four additional game modes – Biohazard, Survival, Lone Wolf and Infestation. Future updates will add 10 hours to the campaign mode, an even bigger arsenal and the ability to play cooperatively – or battle online in 8-player PvP battles set aboard different sections of the ship. Match types will include team-based or free-for-all Deathmatch game modes.
Dead Effect 2 VR is available on Steam Early Access for £14.99/ €19.99/ $19.99 at: http://store.steampowered.com/app/646200/Dead_Effect_2_VR/
Project CARS 2 brings the adrenaline of motorsport to the Bandai Namco Entertainment Booth at E3
Slightly Mad Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment today announce that Project CARS 2 is slated for a worldwiderelease on the 22nd September, 2017.
The most anticipated racing game of the year will also be playable at the Bandai Namco Entertainment Booth at E3 with the first public demo featuring multi-class action showcasing the newly optimised handling as well as revamped gamepad controls, this on the heels of the E3 trailer that presents the game’s “sandbox” approach to the overhauled career mode.
MULTI-CLASS ACTION

This is motorsport in Project CARS 2.
CAREER MODE SHOWCASED BY E3 SIZZLE TRAILER
Showcasing the open structure of the Project CARS franchise, the E3 Sizzle trailer presents the game’s “sandbox” approach to its career mode that allows drivers an open path to achieving their motorsport dreams. Drivers can begin their motorsport career in grassroots series such as karts and race their way to the very top echelons where many of the world’s most prestigious brands and cars await; or they can choose to begin in any motorsport discipline; or even go straight into one particular type of motorsport, and spend one or multiple seasons in that championship. With 9 motorsport disciplines to choose from, a racing career has never been more rewarding or challenging.
OPTIMIZED HANDLING
Project CARS 2 delivers an unparalleled racing experience for players of all skill levels. Bleeding-edge visuals, precise car physics, revamped confidence-inspiring gamepad controls combined with advanced and newly refined tire grip and slip physics that provide drivers with optimised control and feel in all situations, and enhanced, realistic A.I. make Project CARS 2 the most immersive and technically-advanced racing simulation on the planet.
