This new tactical deckbuilder combines pixel art, grid-based combat, and cursed heroes in a battle to reclaim a fallen kingdom
Shuffle Tactics, the latest title from developer Club Sandwich and publisher The Arcade Crew (Infernax, Young Souls), is now available on Steam. This dark fantasy RPG blends turn-based tactics, deckbuilding, and dynamic battlefield positioning into a compact, challenging experience. The game launches at £12.79 / $14.99, with a 20 percent discount available until July 1.
A Dark Curse and Tactical Combat
Set in the kingdom of Asteria, you control a party of cursed warriors brought back to life again and again in a desperate fight against King Ogma. His failed attempt to revive the queen has unleashed a supernatural force known as Glimmer, corrupting both the land and its people.
The core of Shuffle Tactics lies in its grid-based combat, where positioning, elevation, and environmental awareness are just as important as the cards in your hand. Players can mix and match hundreds of hero and sidekick abilities to find powerful synergies and dominate the battlefield.
Meet the Heroes
- Doberknight is a heavy-hitting sword thrower who can manipulate enemy positions and ignite tiles with fire-based alternate abilities
- Fletch is a grounded builder who crafts defensive structures mid-battle
- Catalina is a master of elemental magic and battlefield control, with a background rooted in political intrigue and revenge
Alongside your chosen hero, you can recruit two of ten sidekicks, each specializing in roles such as healing, ranged attacks, or magical support. Every combination creates new strategies and possibilities.
What to Expect
- 300 hero cards and 150 sidekick cards
- Over 27 enemy types and 10 unique bosses
- Six handcrafted regions to explore
- Strategic 3D battlefields where terrain and elevation matter
- Bonus medals awarded for fastest clears, highest single hit, and lowest damage runs
