The geolocation RPG MythWalker just dropped a big update, and it’s a game-change, literally. With the new Tethering feature, players can now team up and explore magical landscapes together, even if they’re oceans apart.

Tethering: Travel Together, From Anywhere

This brand-new system lets up to three players sync up in one shared game world. Say you’re in Tokyo and your mate’s in New York, you can both hop into a party with a friend in London and explore the streets of Mytherra-London together. You’ll fight enemies, complete quests, and score better loot for working as a team.

It’s the first time a feature like this has shown up in a geolocation game, and it’s a big step forward for fans who want the co-op experience without being physically side by side.

Watch Out for Wyldevae

Alongside Tethering, the update introduces a brand-new type of creature called the Wyldevae. Don’t be followed by their fairy-like looks – these magical beasties pack a punch. There are three types, each with their own habitat and style:

  • Bergavae – Mountain-dwelling moth fairies
  • Strandavae – Island-based fish-like tricksters
  • Fennavae – Swampy dragonfly hunter

More Lore, More Quests, More Magic

This update builds on April’s expansion, which added over 20 new quests, a trip to Stonehenge, and even a hobgoblin buddy to join you in battle. Players also dug deeper into the world’s lore, learning more about the Pirate crews and Drakates that cause chaos in Mytherra.

A Game That Keeps Growing

“Tethering is going to be a real game changer. We’re always looking for new ways to connect players and expand the world of Mythwalker.”

Creative Director, Jesse Snyder

Mythwalker is available now on iOS and Android. Whether you’re exploring IRL or from the couch with Portal Energy, there’s a whole world waiting to be uncovered.
