Are you the type of gamer who loves their medium but also chooses to send letters the old fashioned way?! You’re not? Oh…well whatever, the Royal Mail has decided to launch a range of stamps celebrating gaming with such classics as Tomb Raider, Lemmings and Micro Machines soon to be gracing your letters or stamp collections.
“The UK has been at the forefront of the video games industry for decades,” said Royal Mail spokesman Philip Parker. “In the 1980s and 90s young designers grappled with coding on the new microcomputers and set the template for the industry with iconic games. We celebrate some of their landmark creations on stamps.”
So 12 stamps of iconic gaming UK produced gaming moments, worth it or is this just a dying medium trying it’s hardest to remain relevant? I guess a letter with a picture of Lara Croft shooting a T-rex is kind of cool…
