2020 has been a real kick in the nuts so far. Starting the year by the world literally setting itself on fire, followed by a global pandemic and then even further followed by racial injustices I cannot even begin to wrap my head around. I am learning and educating myself all the time on what is happening in the world…

But between all this, we have had some excellent games so far at least – with The Last of Us Part 2 becoming one of my top 5 games of all time on the PS4.

One thing playing on my mind is what the world is going to throw at us next, this year looks like it will be a real shitshow from start to finish. BUT at least we have some small snippets of Joy from upcoming games, movies and tv shows on the horizon.

So I am here to spread a small snippet of joy and I am listing a couple of things I am really, REALLY looking forwards too throughout the latter half of 2020. There should be a little something for everyone to look forwards too throughout the year so check out my list below!

The Avengers

I am a bit hesitant with his one, I played it at EGX and didn’t really enjoy it too much BUT my build of it was broken so that could be why. I am super excited to get into this and be a chosen Avenger with a group of my friends thorough the games coop modes.

The squad walking to the pubs when they reopen

I am hoping this game has a huge endgame (Heh) that me and my friends can sink hours and hours into and make it so there are a plethora of reasons to keep coming back to this game once the campaign is over – other than just getting cosmetics.

The Boys Season 2

The Boys was my favourite show of 2019. It was WITHOUT a doubt the best show of that year and perhaps the best show of the past decade. Karl Urban is absolutely perfect in this and I have been chomping at the bit for more information.

When you get a cut in a swimming pool

This is written before the big The Boys event on Friday but know… I will be tuning into this hugely.

Ghost of Tsushima

There really aren’t enough Samurai games and whilst we have seen some of the best games of the past couple years heavily feature the Japanese icons (Nioh & Sekiro), Ghost of Tsushima looks to fill that Akira Kurosawa void I have in my life.

Especially with that sexy as all hell filter I will definitely be using…

The Umbrella Academy

This was a very close second in 2019 for me and its not just because I will watch literally anything with Billy Bones.. errrr…. I mean Tom Hopper of course.

Family photos, always awkward

The Graphic Novel helmed by one of my personal favourite humans (Gerard Way) is absolutely excellent and the Netflix adaptation delivers on every count. I am a bit hesitant for Season 2 as Netflix has been letting me down a lot recently (Still absolutely gutted by Locke & Key, my personal favourite graphic novel series) but as I say… it has Tom Hopper in so I am going to look forwards to it either way.

Cyberpunk 2077

Look, The Witcher 3 is my favourite RPG of all time. Everything CDPR touches is gold. It has Keanu Reeves in it. Nothing else I need to say.

Traffic jams amirite???

Black Widow

The only MCU entry we are likely to get this year thanks to Covid is the long overdue Black Widow solo film. My gut feeling is the ending of the film will take place after Endgame and show us Nat is still alive…

You were thinking I died? Bitch Surprise

This might be hopeful speculation but it could potentially be true and the idea makes me happy.

Assassins Creed: Valhalla

I am a HUGE Assassins Creed fanboy, in fact I am currently replaying the whole series again from 2 to Finish. Odyssey was such an excellent game that I am so excited to see that applied to Vikings.

Literally exactly what is always going on in Will’s head…

I know Will is going to edit this so I will let him jump in here….

*Ahem* Hi I’m Will and if you want to know what the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Hype is doing to me, then check out this link to read my thoughts!
