At E3 2018, EA displayed more information around Battlefield V, the new mechanics on offer, and the newest innovations coming to the Battlefield franchise; the trailer initially focused quite a bit on the new Frostbite Engine enhancements, featuring the most realistic building and architecture destruction seen in gaming so far, with fully fledged snow physics, weather effects and realistic lighting
Additionally, anti-air cannons can now be moved around the map using vehicles, leading to a new strategic edge to the gameplay. Battlefield V will feature no lootboxes, no premium passes, and will, reportedly, “bring something new every day”. The game will also feature, to the dismay of some, a Battle Royale mode (Which I’ll dub Battlefield Battle Royale). Battlefield V releases this year on October 19th.
