There is something deeply satisfying about spraying grime off colourful walls for far longer than you meant to. That is exactly what happened with PowerWash Simulator 2 – Adventure Time Pack. After around six hours with the DLC, I had cleared all five levels multiple times, patted BMO more than I should probably admit, and picked up every achievement tied to this release. At £6.50, this is a fairly easy sell for anyone already enjoying the base game.

Released on 9th April, the Adventure Time Pack brings five brand new levels into PowerWash Simulator 2, along with themed tools, a reworked player character, and small story moments delivered through text messages. It does not try to change the formula, but it does give players a colourful new set of spaces to tidy up, and for the most part, that is more than enough.

The Small Moments

PowerWash Simulator 2 is not exactly known for deep storytelling, so the Adventure Time Pack wisely keeps things light. New bits of dialogue arrive through text messages, and these small exchanges between members of the Adventure Time cast do a good job of giving the DLC some personality.

They are simple, but they work. They add flavour to each level without getting in the way of the actual cleaning, and they helped make this crossover feel like more than just a visual reskin. I ended up enjoying these little interactions a lot more than I expected, especially as familiar characters popped up along the way. Honestly, the pack did such a good job of reminding me why I liked Adventure Time in the first place that I have now started watching it again.

Still, it also feels like there was room to do a bit more. There is clearly some care behind how these characters and ideas have been adapted for the DLC, but not much of that comes through in the game itself beyond the basic setup. Even in something as mechanically focused as PowerWash Simulator 2, a little extra context or some unlockable background details could have gone a long way.

Adventure Time Adds the Personality

If you have played PowerWash Simulator before, you already know what to expect here. You turn up, you clean, and you slowly work your way through five new levels until every last patch of dirt is gone. The Adventure Time Pack sticks very closely to that formula, which means the real appeal comes from the setting rather than any major gameplay shake-up.

That is not a bad thing. The core loop is still just as relaxing and oddly compelling as ever. There is a reason people keep coming back to this series, and this DLC understands that. It gives players more of what already works, then dresses it all up in a new theme.

As with previous collaboration packs, all of the tools have been reimagined to fit the crossover. Even your character has been given an Adventure Time-inspired makeover, with the player stepping into the role of a Candy Kingdom cleaner. That attention to theme helps the DLC feel more complete, even if the mechanics themselves are familiar.

Colourful Levels, Fresh Appeal

This is where the Adventure Time Pack really earns its place.

The five new levels are bright, playful, and full of charm. More importantly, they feel distinct from what is available in the main game. That matters a lot in a title like this, because while the actual task never changes much, the spaces you clean need to stay interesting.

Thankfully, this DLC absolutely delivers on that front. The environments are colourful and varied, and there is a real sense of fun in seeing these weird and cheerful locations covered in grime before gradually bringing them back to life. It keeps the process satisfying, and it makes repeat runs feel worthwhile rather than repetitive.

That freshness is what stood out most to me. Even when I was replaying levels, I was still enjoying the setting enough to want another pass through them.

A Crossover That Could Have Done More

For all the things this DLC gets right, there is still a sense that it could have pushed the Adventure Time side of the crossover a little further. The setting is lovely, the character touches are fun, and the visual redesign does a lot of the heavy lifting, but it never quite feels like it goes beyond being a very good themed add-on.

That is the main reason I would be cautious about recommending it to someone who only cares about Adventure Time. If you already play PowerWash Simulator 2, this is an easy win. If you are hoping for a richer or more meaningful tribute to the series, you may come away wishing there was just a little more to it.

PowerWash Simulator 2 – Adventure Time Pack is a strong first DLC that knows exactly what its audience wants. It does not mess with the formula, but it gives players five imaginative new levels, some fun character moments, and a crossover theme that fits surprisingly well with the series’ relaxing clean-up loop.

It may not offer quite enough to win over people who are only here for Adventure Time, and there is definitely a bit of missed potential in how lightly it explores the world and characters. Still, for existing PowerWash Simulator fans, this is an easy recommendation. It looks great, it feels fresh, and at £6.50, the value is absolutely there.
