New bosses, blood magic, and even more eldritch horrors await in the roguelike’s latest update.
If you thought Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef couldn’t get any weirder (or bloodier), think again. Developer The Fine Arc and publisher First Break Labs have just dropped Act III: Dagon’s Domain, the latest beefy update for their Lovecraftian action-roguelike co-op dungeon crawler—now live on Steam Early Access.
Dive Into Dagon’s Domain: New Levels, Bosses, and Bloodshed
The third act cranks the madness up to 11, with a host of fresh content for would-be treasure hunters and cosmic horror fans:
- Three new levels, each with a unique flavour of doom, culminating in the most cinematic boss fight yet—Dagon himself.
- Three brand-new enemies, one per level, that’ll mess with your rhythm and make you rethink your builds.
- 15 new Incantation sets (that’s 45 unique combo effects) letting you channel the powers of Cthulhu, Dagon, Hastur, and Shub-Niggurath for all sorts of sinister synergies.
- New combat effects including Bleeding, Blood Wave, Panic Wave, Corruption-Fueled, and Life Steal, adding extra spice to your spell-slinging.
- Four ultimate Eldritch Incantations, one for each Great Old One, granting terrifyingly powerful abilities.
Whether you’re running solo or squadding up with three mates, this is the biggest and bloodiest update Devil Reef has seen yet.
A Quick Recap for the Uninitiated…
You’re broke. You owe a gangster. And your best option? Risk life, limb, and sanity for ancient gold buried beneath Innsmouth’s haunted shores. That’s the setup in Cthulhu’s Reach: Devil Reef, a pixel art action-roguelike soaked in cosmic dread and ‘90s dungeon crawler nostalgia.
Delve into procedural dungeons, upgrade mystical scrolls and incantations, and survive wave after wave of unnameable beasts. The game’s co-op up to four players and is fully Steam Deck verified.
