Earlier teased at Nintendo’s E3 booth back in 2016, Shin Megami Tensei V has finally been announced, and is to be exclusively releasing on the Nintendo Switch upon release. The recent trailer by Atlus displayed a boy in flower-adorned attire walking down a busy Japanese travel hallway alongside a schoolgirl, before switching to an underground motorway full of red-glowing, slain Demons, including Oni and Forneus lying dead.

After that, we’re soon taken to a seemingly apocalyptic city scene, coated in a heavy layer of sand as demons attack and presumably kill the two teenagers shown at the start of the trailer – Thinking of how this links in with the original teaser for Shin Megami Tensei V, and the reappearance of the newly-designed Odin from Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse does raise some intriguing points, however.
