Players will have only 30 minutes to complete a mission in Raccoon City.
Resident Evil 2’s long-awaited remaster is set to arrive on Jan 25, but that hasn’t stopped Capcom from announcing that from Friday (11/01/19), players will be able to take part in a ‘1-shot demo’, wherein they are let loose in Raccoon city on a 30 minute time limit- as Capcom puts it:
Players must take on the challenge of surviving the horrors of Raccoon City in just 30 minutes. If players complete the mission objective under 30 minutes, they can restart the mission until they use up their full time. If players succumb to the zombies during their 30 minutes, they can continue any number of times until the full 30 minutes have been reached.
Those who complete the demo will be rewarded with a new cinematic trailer exclusive to the demo, which can be viewed as many times as you see fit.
Leon Kennedy will be the playable character for the Demo, as he is in the main game.
