The team at Incendium Games are pleased to announce that their comedy-horror fan favourite, Phantom Halls, today hits V1 and leaves Steam Early Access after 18 months!

To celebrate the release, Incendium has unveiled a brand new launch trailer for the game.

Phantom Halls is a side-scrolling squad-based comedy-horror title for PC. Players control a group of teens from the Occult Studies Club at a local high school, as they team up for their assignment but find themselves fighting to survive the night in a procedurally generated haunted mansion.

The teens will need to work as a team if they’re going to make it out alive. Fortunately, Phantom Halls features both a single-player mode – in which players take control of the entire party, each character with their own independent action buttons and special skills – and drop-in/drop-out local co-op.

Phantom Halls entered Steam Early Access in March 2017 and provided players with a simple game loop, a handful of characters and a few quests to complete. Over the past 18 months, Incendium have been hard at work adding a variety of systems and content.

The V1 version includes story content, an entire caseload of quests to play, a full progression and unlock system, and dozens of characters to rescue and add to your team – including an officially licensed Ash Williams from the Evil Dead series!

The developers at Incendium Games have been putting a shedload of work into this one over the past 18 months, taking what was a simple premise and enhancing it with both single-player and drop-in/drop-out local co-op, a load of story content, new maps, weapons, enemies, and an entire progression/unlock system.

Further content and gameplay updates will follow post-launch, including online co-op.

Phantom Halls is out now via Steam, priced at $19.99 / £15.54.
