Zenless Zone Zero is back with a bang. HoYoberse has announced that Version 2.0, titled Where Clouds Embrace the Dawn, launches on 6th June. This marks the start of Season 2 and the game’s official launch on Xbox, alongside an expansive content update that introduces a new playable region, a lineup of powerful agents and generous anniversary rewards.
A New Adventure in Waifei Peninsula
Players will head into the all-new Waifei Peninsula, a remote but lively part of New Eridu. The central city, Failume Heights, is packed with tea houses, shops, and a touch of mystery – perfect for exploring between missions. Alongside fan-favourite Bangboos and new ally Yixuan, players will take charge of Suibian Temple, a base-building feature where resources gathered from the Hollows can be used to earn rewards and boost progression.
Combat gets a fresh twist in 2.0 as the Lemnian Hollow introduces the Miasmic Field. Enemies affected by the miasma gain enhanced abilities and shields, pushing players to rethink their strategies. Luckily, help is on the way. Yixuan joins the roster as an S-Rank Agent, bringing devastating Auric Ink attacks and a unique Adrenaline-based system. She’s joined by Ju Fufu, a fiery new S-Rank support Agent who amps up critical damage and team ultimates. Also debuting are Pan Yinhu, a panda-themed A-Rank tank with serious defence skills, and Belion, a powerful Bangboo from the Yunkui Summit faction.
New Features, Events, and Celebrations
Beyond new faces, the update introduces deeper customisation with the ability to equip multiple Gears on Agents. Hollow Zero: Lost Void adds fresh commissions, and events like Gravitational Attraction and Soul of Steel: Golden Bond offer new ways to earn exclusive items, pilot mechs into battle and even catch a film in-game with your squad.
Version 2.0 also celebrates Zenless Zone Zero’s first anniversary. Players will be treated to a free S-Rank Agent and S-Rank W-Engine of their choices, alongside 1,600 Polychromes, 20 Encrypted Master Tapes, 10 Boopons, exclusive outfits and a special anniversary avatar and title. Quality-of-life upgrades like a new 3D map and Fissure Beacons for fast travel, healing and revives round out the update.
No matter if you’re diving back in or just getting started, Version 2,0 delivers a brilliant mix of new content, gameplay upgrades, and anniversary goodies. With Expanded regions, deeper customisation and some seriously power new agents, Zenless Zone Zero is set to make a big impression in its second season.
