The dojo doors are swinging open again. SEGA has just dropped the date for Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. World Stage, with the iconic brawler landing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S this October 30. Packed with rollback netcode, cross-play, upgraded training tools and a brand new single-player mode called World Stage, this latest entry looks set to reignite the flame for veterans and newcomers alike.
A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also on the way, but you’ll need to stay tuned for that one.
Face the World
World Stage is a new solo experience that sends you on a global tour of fighting supremacy. Square off against rising challengers, rack up customisation gear and climb your way to the top. SEGA is even accepting fan-submitted fighter names for NPCs in this mode, with entries open on the official Virtua Fighter Discord until August 23. If you ever dreamed of seeing your name in the ranks, now’s your shot.
Dural Joins the Fight
For the first time in over a decade, Dural is playable again. The chrome-plated menace will be added to the roster as paid DLC at launch. She still won’t be allowed in official SEGA tournaments, but nothing’s stopping you from wrecking your mates in casual matches with her full power on display.
