Bandai Namco has revealed Bob as the next playable fighter for TEKKEN 8 Season 3, and yes, the “Onigiri Saviour” is back with speed, power, and enough food-based lore to make your ranked losses feel even stranger.

As per the press release, Bob was showcased live during EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, where Arslan Ash was crowned champion. The returning fighter is the second playable character in TEKKEN 8 Season 3, following Kunimitsu and joining upcoming additions Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma.

Developed by Bandai Namco Studios Inc., TEKKEN 8 is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

Bob Returns As The Onigiri Saviour

Bob’s comeback picks up after Bryan’s brutal assault left him recovering before The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7. While stuck in hospital, Bob found himself less than thrilled with the meals on offer.

Naturally, he responded in the most Bob way possible: by dreaming up burger recipes.

That spark led to the creation of a successful fast-food chain. Not content with burgers alone, Bob later launched Bob’s Onigiri, which helped boost his fame even further.

However, things get more serious when Bob crosses paths with Kazuya Mishima and his world domination plans. During times of crisis, Bob uses his food chains to help those in need. That earns him the nickname “Onigiri Saviour”, which is honestly a strong contender for best job title in fighting games.

Armed with his strong sense of justice and his self-proclaimed “perfect body”, Bob sets out to stop Kazuya and bring balance back to the world. Presumably with snacks.

TEKKEN 8 Bob Release Date Confirmed

Everyone else can jump in with Bob from Tuesday, 25 August 2026.
