Depicting an all-new enchanting world in glorious neo-pixel-style visuals, Sword of Convallaria delivers a distinct blend of classic turn-based RPG action alongside revitalizing and reimagining the wider tactical RPG experience.
Developers XD Inc will live-stream Sword of Convallaria gameplay as part of the Next Fest celebrations, allowing fans to see the team get to grips with their creation! The game, planned for launch on PC and mobile later this year – with a console version in the works too – will provide players with over 60 hours of authentic tactical gameplay featuring multiple choices, branching stories, and character-led narratives. Fans can also look forward to a game test from the SNF Official team today.
Players must recruit and train a comprehensive roster of companions voiced by anime and gaming luminaries such as Kazuhiko Inoue (Naruto, Final Fantasy XV, Fire Emblem Heroes), Aoi Yūki (Pokemon, Xenoblade Chronicles, Genshin Impact), and Takuya Eguchi (Spy x Family, Granblue Fantasy, BLUELOCK). They will lead their ragtag group on an epic journey across the land of Iria on a mission to save the collapsing country from the tensions, riots, and wars that have broken out among competing factions.
Each battle within Sword of Convallaria will see players drop into a grid-based fighting system that will instantly be familiar to fans of the genre. Deploy forces to combat and counter a diverse range of enemy types, and make the most of terrain to get a jump on enemies and secure victory! Each companion you enter combat with has unique abilities and combat skills, so every type of player can build their perfect squad to explore Iria with.
Players can start their adventure by playing the Steam Next Fest demo today, offering 10 hours of the campaign. This journey will be set against the backdrop of legendary music producer Hitoshi Sakimoto’s work, best known for his work on Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy Tactics.
