SWAP/MEAT, the roguelite third-person shooter where you raid the weirdest worlds and angriest aliens in the universe for their meat, makes its big-stage debut at the Future Games Show @ Gamescom on Wednesday, August 21 at 1 PM Pacific Time. The game was also selected to participate in the Devcom Indie ShowcaseThe MIX Seattle and the Seattle Indies Expo.

Media attending Gamescom or PAX are invited to sink their teeth into SWAP/MEAT’s silly surrealism, and can reach out to press@onemoregame.com to arrange a demo appointment (or to inquire about receiving exclusive playtest keys for their community).

Following the game’s presence at Gamescom and PAX, SWAP/MEAT kicks off its next playtest on Friday, September 6 at 11 AM Pacific Time (concluding at noon on Tuesday, September 10). Interested players can apply to join the playtest, and for a limited time, if you refer three friends, your whole squad gets in.

In SWAP/MEAT, 1-4 players take on the role of a ‘Meat Scientist’ for Rangus Meats, a multi-galactic corporation dedicated to discovering the ultimate sustainable meat product to feed the universe (…at least that’s what they claim). On a run, players drop onto a series of increasingly challenging planets and engage in combat with the unfriendly locals, ‘swapping meat’ with the alien weirdos they defeat. Players can attach a wide swath of strange (and usually squishy) heads, legs and torsos to their bodies, gaining powerful abilities that let players change up their playstyles on the fly. Squads who successfully extract the ‘meat cores’ from three planets will face a brutal brawl with a bizarre boss.
