Ready those fresh tires, racing fans – Stampede: Racing Royale has come in for a pit stop, and has emerged with some serious upgrades.
Today, 60-player battle royale kart racer arrives in full on Steam, supporting cross-play with the existing Xbox Game Preview version and also sporting its biggest update yet; introducing new content, features and experiences, alongside various community-driven changes and a turbo-charged collaboration with gaming sensation, Dave the Diver.
In partnership with Mintrocket, Stampede’s first official in-game collaboration sees Dave swap his harpoon for some vroom-vroom, complete with nautical-themed kart, sushi wheels, and more goodies. And the best part? This special content is completely free for all players – now that’s reel value!
Any good racer knows that what’s under the hood is most important, and today’s major update introduces new content, features, tweaks, improvements and re-working of mechanics, including:
- Six new tracks – Hardhat Havoc, Conveyor Craze, Wentworth Industries, Charging Cascades, Pilchard Plaza and Cliffside Chaos
- Six new karts (seven including the new Dave the Diver kart) and more than 250 new customisation items
- New Special Event added to the live rotation: ‘Wrapid’. A single-round event using the new Hardhat Havoc map, with winners receiving an exclusive kart wrap
- New Daily Calendar – where players will receive rewards on each new day that they play Stampede: Racing Royale for seven days, with the final reward on Day 7 being the new Road Roarer 250 kart
- New Boost system – where Boost is now accumulated through drifting, airtime and passively, for players to manually deploy
- New power-up: Jelly Block. Give your rivals a wobble by deploying gelatinous cubes on the track ahead, slowing them down and blurring their vision
- New round modifiers, such as Hard Mode, where players are instantly eliminated when hit by lasers or stomping blocks
- All karts now feature multiple perks in each Kart Mastery tree, allowing expert players even greater control and customisation
Additionally, as Sumo Leamington continue to monitor feedback and suggestions to shape the future of Stampede, all in-app purchases have been removed from the game on all platforms. All racers will be gifted 3,000 Star Chips – Stampede’s in-game currency – enough to unlock all current content.
Full details of the new content and major update can be found over on the Stampede: Racing Royale website, and players are encouraged to follow the game’s social media accounts (Discord | X | TikTok | Instagram | YouTube) and share their thoughts and feedback on the game.
