Splatchinko, a space-themed Pachinko-inspired turn-based roguelike from indie studio Stupidi Pixel, will launch on Steam on 12 November 2026.
The premise is suitably unhinged. You play as a world-devouring cosmic horror who gives up the whole planet-eating lifestyle after finding true love. Naturally, that peace does not last.
When a mysterious entity kidnaps your beloved, you set off across the universe to get them back, armed with a frankly unreasonable number of detachable, mutating eyes.
Collateral damage may occur.
Pachinko combat meets turn-based roguelike runs
Splatchinko mixes JRPG-style turn-based encounters with Pachinko-inspired combat, using ricochets and rebounds to deal damage and trigger different effects.
Shots bounce around peg-filled battlefields, with well-placed rebounds able to build damage, trigger explosions and activate abilities.
At launch, players will be able to experiment with more than 100 eyes and over 70 mutations, opening the door to plenty of strange combinations and broken builds.
Each eye changes how your run plays, affecting rebound behaviour, status effects and abilities. The idea is to keep stacking upgrades and finding combinations that turn one carefully aimed shot into complete cosmic nonsense.
Procedural planets, strange encounters and angry bosses
Runs take place across procedural maps packed with planets, shops, risk-reward events and what the developer describes as “third-contact encounters”.
There are also bosses waiting to make the rescue mission considerably more difficult.
Between the evolving eye builds, unpredictable maps and physics-heavy battles, Splatchinko is built around experimentation and seeing just how ridiculous a run can become before the galaxy starts regretting your existence.
Splatchinko launches on Steam on 12 November 2026 and is available to wishlist now.
