Making Enemies and DevilishGames have announced Scholar Adventure: Lost Night, the second game in the narrative point-and-click adventure series.
The game is currently planned for release in 2027 across PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox, iOS and Android. Its Steam page is now live, alongside a first teaser trailer.
William’s Journey Continues
Lost Night once again follows William, a young writer whose travels are guided by an ancient artefact.
This time, he finds himself in the Ruins of Azig, a vast desert where the sun has not set for 1,000 years.
As William explores the region, he begins uncovering the secrets behind Azig and its Great Pyramid, an astral temple capable of disrupting the natural order and trapping the land in permanent daylight.
The story promises a mix of mystery, symbolism and dark humour, with exploration and puzzles playing a central role.
A Kingdom Trapped in Eternal Day
For a thousand years, Azig has been ruled by the Sun Cult.
Its leader, known as the Architect, built the Great Pyramid to keep the kingdom locked in endless daylight. Over time, that decision has left the city and its temples in ruins, with much of the land buried beneath the sand.
William’s journey will see him following the Abbot’s notes and an ancient prophecy as he searches for answers.
Along the way, he will meet several unusual characters, including Tarek, a young woman fascinated by the stars. Together, they will investigate the secrets of the Great Pyramid, the Sun Cult and the mysterious Astreos.
Classic Point-and-Click With a Modern Pace
Scholar Adventure: Lost Night is built around traditional point-and-click mechanics, but with a faster pace designed to keep the story moving.
The developers are aiming for a relatively short experience, with an estimated playtime of around three to four hours.
Players can expect:
- Hand-crafted pixel art with a modern look
- Classic point-and-click exploration and puzzles
- A story designed to be completed in around three to four hours
- A cast of characterful NPCs and dialogue
- An atmospheric soundtrack and detailed sound design
Scholar Adventure: Lost Night is currently scheduled to launch in 2027 for PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox, iOS and Android.
The game will support English, Spanish, Catalan and Basque at launch.
