Phasmophobia’s revamped 13 Willow Street map is now available as a free update across all platforms.
Kinetic Games has refreshed the haunted house with new rooms, extra hiding spaces, paranormal interactions and fresh lore. The rework also arrives alongside the first of two major Phasmophobia quality-of-life updates planned for 2026.
That means ghost hunters have new secrets to uncover, smoother movement to enjoy and, apparently, another unsettling presence hiding in the shadows. Lovely.
13 Willow Street Gets New Rooms and Fresh Lore
The new version of 13 Willow Street keeps an almost identical overall layout. However, several rooms have been redesigned to meet Kinetic Games’ current development standards.
The former bedroom, garage and basement areas have been replaced with an art studio, home gym and entertainment room. The basement layout has also been reconfigured.
Players can expect new objects, paranormal interactions and hiding spaces throughout the house. These changes should make investigations feel fresher without turning Willow into a completely unfamiliar location.
As per the press release, the rework also continues Phasmophobia’s growing focus on environmental storytelling. New pieces of lore are hidden around the map, giving players another mystery to piece together between hunts.
Anastatia Dukakis, Senior Narrative Designer at Kinetic Games, said the team enjoys seeing the community uncover new details and share theories about the game’s locations.
New Willow Challenges and Twitch Drops
Players can take on a new 13 Willow Street challenge by correctly identifying and surviving 50 ghosts.
Completing the challenge will unlock the Sun Seeker ID set. Anyone feeling particularly brave can start working towards it now.
For the first week after launch, players can also unlock the Cool Cat ID card and badge. These rewards are available by watching two hours of Phasmophobia streams.
Phasmophobia’s First Major 2026 Quality-of-Life Update
The 13 Willow Street rework launches alongside the larger of two quality-of-life updates planned for Phasmophobia in 2026.
Kinetic Games says the update was shaped by community feedback following the Player Character Update. It includes hundreds of bug fixes and gameplay improvements as the studio continues preparing the game to leave Early Access.
Refreshed animations should make movement feel smoother and quicker. Evidence collection has also been adjusted to create a more seamless investigation experience.
Players can now use the 1, 2, 3 and 4 keys to switch between inventory slots. The update also includes wider accessibility improvements and plenty of additional fixes.
There may also be a new presence lurking in the shadows. Because apparently the existing ghosts were not doing enough.
A second Phasmophobia quality-of-life update is planned for late August. More updates are also due later in the year as part of the game’s revised 2026 roadmap.
The 13 Willow Street map rework is available now as a free update in Phasmophobia on all platforms.
Phasmophobia is currently available in Early Access on PC via Steam, PS5, PS VR2 and Xbox Series X|S. It is priced at $19.99, £16.75 and €19.50.
