Mistfall Hunter Game Director HAO has tackled some of the community’s biggest talking points, including cheating, illegal teaming, server lag, class balance, Brandrgarde solo mode and the planned trading system.

There is plenty on the table, then. As per the press release, the team is continuing to investigate fair play issues while also working on performance problems and some of the game’s most requested features.

Cheating, illegal teaming and server performance

When it comes to cheating, HAO says the team’s stance is straightforward. Anything that damages the fairness of Mistfall Hunter needs to be dealt with firmly and continuously.

However, bans are not handed out based on one piece of evidence. The team considers client-side detection, server data, behaviour patterns and player reports before taking action.

The idea is to punish genuine violations without catching innocent players in the crossfire. Confirmed cases will receive penalties.

Illegal teaming is a trickier beast.

A short gameplay clip may not clearly show whether players are simply cooperating temporarily or deliberately colluding across multiple teams. Because of that, the team looks at repeated matchmaking patterns, unusual cooperation, damage and elimination data, item transfers and movement routes.

Reporting tools and report categories will also continue to improve. Meanwhile, updates covering ban lists and detection rules will be shared through official channels.

HAO also apologised to players affected by server lag and performance problems.

The technical team is reviewing peak-hour server logs, match data, matchmaking-node information and player feedback. Its aim is to identify conditions that could be causing spikes or instability.

For now, match stability is the priority. Longer-term work will also focus on client performance, resource loading and network synchronisation.

Specific fixes and timings will arrive through future official updates.

Blackarrow and Withered Knight class balance

HAO also addressed the ongoing Mistfall Hunter class balance discussion surrounding Blackarrow and Withered Knight.

The team does not judge whether a class is overpowered using win rates or raw numbers alone. It also considers gear progression, team compositions and specific match situations.

More importantly, the developers look at whether rival classes and builds still have meaningful counters.

According to HAO, being strong does not automatically make a class a problem. Adjustments become more likely when something feels unreasonable and players can no longer understand it, play around it or find an effective counter.

Blackarrow and Withered Knight have already been adjusted through previous maintenance updates. The team will continue monitoring data and community feedback following those changes.

Brandrgarde solo mode is still planned for Season One

For players who prefer going it alone, Brandrgarde solo mode remains planned for the middle of Season One.

The mode will support both Normal and Cataclysm difficulties.

HAO said solo play has been heavily requested since launch. Some players do not have a regular trio, while others would rather avoid the communication lottery of random matchmaking. Plenty also simply want to test their own routes, builds and decision-making.

However, solo mode is not simply Brandrgarde minus two teammates.

The developers need to rebalance combat density, resource distribution, extraction pressure and map objectives. In short, the mode needs broader tuning if it is going to work properly for lone hunters.

Exact timing and rules will be announced in future official updates.

Mistfall Hunter trading system remains under review

HAO was more cautious when discussing the Mistfall Hunter trading system.

The team does not want to make promises before considering how trading will affect the wider game economy. Farming operations and platform requirements also need to be factored into the design.

For now, development follows three main principles.

First, trading should actually help normal players. It should make unwanted items easier to handle, improve understanding of item values and reduce the amount of information players need to hunt down.

Second, the system cannot make farming operations or abnormal transactions worse. HAO warned that these activities could lead to unstable prices and reduced rewards for regular players.

Finally, trading needs to work within Mistfall Hunter’s long-term economy rather than chasing short-term convenience.

The team is currently looking at trading clarity, search and filtering tools, price information, abnormal transaction detection and dispute feedback.

Specific rules, restrictions and release timing will be revealed after the internal review is complete.

Recent official Mistfall Hunter updates

For anyone wanting to dig further into the recent changes, the following official Mistfall Hunter announcements were highlighted:

That final update includes fixes covering tutorial prompt localisation, Sorcerer skill visuals and damage ranges, item splitting, controller issues, crashes, incorrect text, animations and audio.

There is clearly plenty still being worked through in Mistfall Hunter. For now, HAO’s update gives players a clearer idea of where the team stands on fair play, balance, solo content and the game’s developing economy.
