A new Masters of Albion behind-the-scenes trailer has landed today, and it is less polished PR waffle, more proper peek behind the curtain. A Conversation With the Creators takes viewers inside 22cans, with Peter Molyneux, Mark Healey and Russ Shaw talking through the road to Masters of Albion and how the project came together.
As per the press release, the documentary is built entirely in-house and mixes candid interviews with fresh in-game footage, giving players a closer look at both the studio and the world of Albion.
A closer look at Masters of Albion
The new trailer leans hard into the making of Masters of Albion, with the team reflecting on their shared history and the creative process behind the game. Alongside that, it promises previously unseen parts of Albion, behind-the-scenes footage from key development moments, and a few more personal stories from the people building it.
There is also a stronger look at gameplay here, with new insights into the game’s evolving systems and the overall feel 22cans is aiming for. Apparently, that includes the studio’s sense of humour too, because yes, a rogue chicken shows up at one point. Naturally.
22cans tees up early access
At the heart of it, this is a tone-setter for the game’s upcoming early access release. The film is meant to show the passion behind the project, while also giving players a clearer idea of the vision for Masters of Albion and what kind of experience 22cans wants to deliver.
The Masters of Albion trailer is live now, while players can also wishlist the game on Steam and join the 22cans Discord for exclusive development updates.
It is part studio diary, part hype reel, and honestly, that is usually a much better combo than another stiff talking-head announcement.
