Tetrarchy Studios has confirmed that the first public demo for Mandated Fate will launch on 17 August during Steam Cyberpunk Fest.

The upcoming narrative-driven social thriller blends detective work, political intrigue and player choice inside a dystopian alternate version of 1985.

Investigate a murder inside a technocratic empire

Mandated Fate casts players as an Imperial Inspector working under a powerful technocratic regime.

Your investigation begins with a murder. However, as per the press release, the case soon threatens to expose something far larger than one crime.

Players will explore the city, question suspects and gather evidence. Along the way, they must decide who to trust and how far they are willing to go in service of the Empire.

Every conversation and discovery can affect the story. Choices may also lead to unexpected consequences, so casually clicking through dialogue probably is not the safest approach.

What to expect from the Mandated Fate demo

The demo will cover the opening chapter and offer around 30 to 60 minutes of gameplay for a typical player.

It will introduce the game’s investigation systems, political conspiracy and choice-driven narrative. Players can also explore a seamless retro-futuristic city inspired by cyberpunk and neo-noir.

Mandated Fate supports both first-person and third-person perspectives, letting players approach its world from their preferred viewpoint.

The demo will include:

  • A mission that leads into a wider political conspiracy
  • Meaningful choices with lasting consequences
  • Evidence gathering and suspect questioning
  • Hidden truths to uncover
  • First-person and third-person gameplay
  • A retro-futuristic cyberpunk city to explore

Mandated Fate is available to wishlist on Steam now. Its first public demo launches on 17 August during Steam Cyberpunk Fest.
