The birds are back, and this time they’re aiming for your GPU. DeadPixel and Nuntius Games are unleashing Machick 2, the sequel to last year’s viral survivor-like hit, on 10 September for Steam. Think Vampire Survivors, but with apocalyptic poultry, endless fusions, and a serious chance of turning your rig into molten slag.

Infinite Mode: You vs Your PC

One of Machick 2’s most bonkers new features is Infinite Mode, where the challenge isn’t just surviving waves of enemies—it’s surviving your own hardware. Every spell, fusion, and ridiculous screen effect piles on until your PC cries for mercy. The “win condition” here? Crashing the game live. Perfect content fodder for streamers, speedrunners, or anyone who likes watching their machine suffer.

Global leaderboards track survival times across 10+ maps (including secret ones), so you can immortalise your name at the top… assuming your PC doesn’t spontaneously combust first.

Story Mode: Chickens vs Frogs

Not just chaos for chaos’ sake, Machick 2 also packs in a full story mode. An apocalyptic war between chickens and frogs unfolds through hand-drawn cutscenes, loaded with references and Easter eggs. It’s silly, it’s self-aware, and it’s all part of the charm.

Fusion Frenzy

Survivor-like veterans will feel at home stacking powers, but Machick 2 cranks it up. With hundreds of thousands of possible wand and ability fusions, you can experiment with themed builds that unleash genuinely wild results. The mix of chaos and creativity means replayability is basically infinite.

A Love Letter to Survivor-likes

Arthur Câmara, creative director at DeadPixel, sums it up best:

“As a big fan of the survivor-like genre, I wanted Machick 2 to leave its mark. Everything was made with great care: every spell, every enemy, every death animation… we asked ourselves, ‘is this what a Vampire Survivors fan would want?’ I think we nailed it.”

Demo Out Now, Full Game Next Week

Machick 2 has officially gone gold and launches on 10 September. Can’t wait? A robust free demo is already live on Steam—basically a mini-game in itself—so you can start frying your PC early. Don’t forget to hit wishlist while you’re there; the devs will thank you.
