Sharpen your swords, polish your helmets, and, er… pick out some new curtains, because Henry’s back with a brand new tale in Kingdom Come: Deliverance II. Warhorse Studios and Deep Silver have just dropped Legacy of the Forge, a chunky new story expansion where our favourite farm boy-turned-knight gets serious about becoming a master blacksmith.
Oh, and there’s also a shiny new 1.4 patch out today with a slicker photo mode, an adaptive HUD, and some quality-of-life tweaks for everyone.
The Blacksmith’s Path
In Legacy of the Forge, Henry officially joins Kuttenberg’s blacksmith guild and inherits an abandoned workshop with a history that cuts close to home. Turns out, it’s the very forge where his adoptive dad Martin once trained. Inside lies an unfinished dream: restoring the city’s astronomical clock. Of course, the old gang of craftsmen who once shared that dream has long since gone their separate ways. Cue Henry’s quest to bring them back together, rebuild the forge, and put his family’s legacy back on the map.
Expect about 15 hours of new quests filled with conspiracies, camaraderie, and probably more than one “oh no, not again” moment for poor Henry.
Home Is Where the Anvil Is
The forge isn’t just a backdrop. It’s now your home base in Kuttenberg, fully customisable with over 100 million possible combinations. Fancy new furniture and upgrades aren’t just cosmetic either — certain beds boost your skill-learning speed, and other improvements can give you a proper edge in your adventures. Think of it as Animal Crossing… but with more hammers and bloodstains.
Legacy of the Forge is out now for $13.99 USD, or free if you’ve got the Kingdom Come: Deliverance II Gold Edition or Expansion Pass. The Gold Edition bundles the base game, Gallant Huntsman’s Kit, Expansion Pass, and Shields of Season pack — so you won’t miss a single swing of the hammer.
