If you thought dating in From Madness with Love was already confusing, just wait until the new Hunky-Dory Lovey-Dovey DLC hits Steam on May 29. PLAYISM is bringing even more chaotic charm to the wildest dating sim around, and this time, things get body-swappy and maybe a bit bitey.
The Dating Sim Where Nothing Makes Sense (In the Best Way)
In case you missed it, From Madness with Love is a pixel-art dating sim where your crush never seems to understand you, and that’s just the start. You play as a second-year high schooler who ends up at a posh academy after your old school explodes. From there, you try to survive school life and maybe score a confusing romance with one of four questionable heartthrobs.
You’ve got:
- Saeki Yuusuke: cheeky blonde flirt with chaotic energy.
- Arakawa Shuuji: sleepy-eyed nurse who might be too smooth for comfort.
- Tamura Marshmallow: tiny, rude and cursed… somehow.
- Aorta: pale, perfect, and probably too serious for his own good.
What’s in the DLC?
This new DLC drops three extra storylines that somehow make the original game look normal:
- Body Swap Chaos: Everyone falls down the stairs and switches bodies. Yes, all four guys. Yes, it’s as awkward as it sounds.
- Vampire Route: Either you or your crush is suddently a vampire. Cue lots of drama, danger, and, well… sucking.
- New Endings: If your shy little protagonist couldn’t confess before, don’t worry. Everyone gets an ending now, even it it’s a little bittersweet.
Be warned: This game includes strong language, loud noises, and a whole lot of nonsense and the DLC does not hold back.
