Bohemia Interactive and Enjoy Studio are back at it, dropping Devlog #4 for their open-world co-op survival RPG Everwind — and they’re not coming empty-handed. With nearly 300,000 wishlists on Steam, the game’s hype is real, and it’s levelling up just in time for Gamescom 2025.

Here’s the lowdown on what’s new and why you should care.

Four-Player Chaos, Airship Dreams & Deadly Swamps

First up, multiplayer. Everwind now supports up to four players in seamless peer-to-peer co-op, meaning you and your mates can squad up, build sky bases, and brave the world together. Just drop an invite code and you’re off to dodge death, farm loot, and argue over airship designs.

The game world’s also expanding with four fresh biomes:

  • Swamp (undead galore)
  • Savanna (sunburn optional)
  • Deciduous forest (hello, autumn vibes)
  • Rotten forest (for when regular forests aren’t grim enough)

Each biome gets its own sky, fog, and water colours, making the world feel alive — or very, very dead.

Building Tools, Spears & Tesla Punches

For the builders, Everwind now has a streamlined shape wheel for snapping together furniture, fences, and lighting. If you just want to go wild? Sandbox Mode gives you infinite resources and instant build controls.

Combat fans get two weapon types to play with:

  • Spear: Classic poke-and-stab, works great with shields
  • Mechanical weapons: Fancy, flashy, and delivering electric shocks with extra flair

And yes, a day-night cycle is here to mess with your plans, so don’t forget a torch.

Intel Power-Up: XeSS 2.0 & Frame Generation

On the tech side, Everwind now flexes Intel XeSS 2.0 for AI-powered upscaling and smoother framerates. Translation? Prettier visuals and better performance, even when you’re sprinting through swamp muck.

Gamescom 2025: Demo Time!

After last year’s buzz, Everwind returns to Gamescom for a press-only, behind-closed-doors demo showing off its revamped combat, exploration, and modular airships. Journalists get to play it first — but hey, that just means more juicy previews coming your way soon.
