Erenshor is expanding again this December with the arrival of its long-awaited Bard class. Players have been asking for the class since the single-player MMO’s original demo.
Bards will arrive in Verses of Adventure, Erenshor’s next major Early Access update. Version 0.8 is currently targeting an early December 2026 release.
The update isn’t just about making some noise with a lute, either. A new dungeon called Glowmere Grotto is also coming. Players can also expect new quests, spells, items and music, plus a complete UI overhaul.
Erenshor takes the familiar MMO formula and fills its world with simulated players rather than real ones. It means you can get much of the traditional MMO experience without organising your life around everyone else’s schedule. We found that idea worked remarkably well in our Erenshor review.
Erenshor’s Bard lets you create your own songs
The Bard is the headline addition to Verses of Adventure. Thankfully, it sounds more involved than simply unlocking a list of magical songs.
Instead, Bards will learn individual notes and chords while playing. Each one has its own magical effect.
Those notes and chords can then be combined to create custom songs. Different combinations will produce different magical effects for use on friends or foes.
The system will expand as your Bard levels up. Higher-level characters can build longer and more complex songs, creating increasingly powerful combinations.
So, rather than simply learning the next song on a predetermined list, you’ll effectively build your own magical setlist.
Glowmere Grotto arrives with Verses of Adventure
There’s more to explore beyond the new class. Verses of Adventure will also introduce Glowmere Grotto, a dungeon aimed at levels 22 to 29.
The new area is described as the lost pirate haven of Erenshor. It will feature new quests, spells and items, as well as new music.
Version 0.8 will also give Erenshor’s interface a complete rework. The changes are designed to improve its appearance, consistency and navigation. A selection of balance changes will arrive alongside it.
Erenshor: Verses of Adventure is currently targeting an early December 2026 release. The update will bring the game up to Early Access version 0.8.
