Duet Night Abyss has launched its latest update, Paradise’s 22nd White Bunny, continuing the Twilight Chapter story arc with a new area, a new Pyro character and a boss called Mother Bunny who sounds considerably less cuddly than the name suggests.

The free update is live now on Steam, Epic Games Store, iOS and Android. It also marks the start of a more player-led approach to development from Pan Studio.

Explore Arcano Town and take on Mother Bunny

Paradise’s 22nd White Bunny opens up Arcano Town, a long-buried location filled with paradise-themed environments and more of the area’s past to uncover.

Unfortunately, sightseeing comes with complications.

Arcano Town is controlled by Mother Bunny, a new boss who rules its inhabitants with an iron grip and stands between players and whatever secrets are buried there.

Players will also be able to recruit Falsi, a new Pyro character making her debut with the update.

Formerly an officer in the Thirteenth Legion and Fulvis’ adjutant, Falsi has since lost everything and headed out alone. She fights using dual blades and pistols, with a play style built around fast surprise attacks.

Her Ambush ability lets her move undetected, while Shadowpierce can instantly execute enemies. Players can unlock Falsi through the Immersive Theatre event.

New events, outfits and 51 free pulls

The update also adds several new activities and cosmetics:

  • Skins and costumes: Falsi gets the limited Stalking Silence look and Civic Ordinance uniform. Zhiliu’s Epulary Elegance also returns, while Psyche and Berenica receive the doll-themed Capriccio of Whimsy outfits.
  • Mounts and weapon cosmetics: Falsi’s limited outfit collection includes a matching hellhound mount and exclusive weapon skins. The Emberfrost Grenade Launcher cosmetic is also available through the premium Noctoyager Manual.
  • New activities: Tactical Backpack introduces an extraction-style mode, while Phoxhunter Summit offers a high-difficulty combat challenge. Moments in Frames adds a photo challenge, and Starry Sojourn brings new co-op missions.
  • Rewards: Players can earn 51 free pulls by logging in and completing events, alongside the chance to obtain the universal Civic Ordinance outfit. New players can also choose a character for their roster after completing the prologue.

Pan Studio is also changing how it approaches future Duet Night Abyss updates.

The developer says it has heard player feedback around systems including Character Weapon Proficiency and wants the community to have more influence over future changes.

As part of that push, Pan Studio plans to run livestreams and podcasts to give players more information about upcoming content and provide additional opportunities to share feedback.

Duet Night Abyss and the Paradise’s 22nd White Bunny update are available now as a free-to-play release on Steam, Epic Games Store, iOS and Android.
