Solo developer Sudden Kebab Studios has released the first public demo for Guard Break, a low-poly, turn-based JRPG that pays loving tribute to the genre-defining titles of the ’90s.
Set in a troubled kingdom on the edge of collapse, Guard Break introduces players to a group of flawed yet determined heroes drawn together by crisis. As they face a rising threat, cracks begin to show in the world around them—and in each other.
The demo offers 60 to 90 minutes of story-driven gameplay, showcasing the game’s setting, turn-based combat system, and character-driven narrative. It’s the perfect introduction to the world of Guard Break, and progress from the demo will carry over to the full game at launch.
