Rustic Panda Games has confirmed that Colossus – Eternal Blight will launch into Steam Early Access on 21st July 2026, following a very healthy Kickstarter campaign and a strong showing during Steam Next Fest.
Published by Level Up Gaming, the indie action RPG has already picked up plenty of community momentum. According to the press release, Colossus – Eternal Blight reached its Kickstarter funding goal in under 24 hours and also received Kickstarter’s Project We Love endorsement. Not a bad start for a world collapsing into nightmare fuel, really.
A pixel art action RPG with plenty of buzz
The new gameplay trailer gives players another look at Eireos, the game’s beautifully designed pixel art world. The press release notes that the setting draws inspiration from classics such as Hyper Light Drifter and Chrono Trigger, which is one way to get RPG fans to sit up very quickly.
Players will step into the story of Lucian, a brother who refuses to give up on someone he loves, even as everything around him falls apart. So yes, expect heartfelt stakes, looming disaster, and probably a fair amount of monster-bothering.
