Snail Inc. and its wholly owned subsidiary Donkey Crew LLC., are thrilled to announce the highly successful Steam Early Access launch of Bellwright. The town-building survival RPG has sold more than 200,000 units on Steam, and more than doubled its wishlists since launch to 822,628, highlighting Bellwright’s growing popularity amongst the Steam gaming community. Bellwright‘s rapid growth also extends beyond Steam, amassing over 975,000 hours watched on Twitch.

Bellwright‘s dedicated community and wealth of content available in its Early Access launch resulted in a higher than expected level of player retention on Steam’s competitive landscape. With concurrent users consistently exceeding its launch day peak, and a significant portion of players investing over 20 hours into the game, Bellwright has evidently captured the players it has reached so far. This trend is expected to continue as players delve deeper into Bellwright‘s large tech tree and expansive Early Access map.

Donkey Crew has also been praised by both press and players alike for their responsiveness to feedback, garnering 77% “Mostly Positive” Steam user reviews.

“The amount of support and enthusiasm from players has been a wonderful surprise for our team so soon after release. As we’re gathering feedback and discussing potential features with the community in preparation for our first content update, we have some exciting news on the way about the future of Bellwright and what’s coming next” – Florian “chadz” Hofreither, Project Lead at Donkey Crew.

Look out for further Bellwright announcements in the coming weeks. In the meantime, players can join the Bellwright community now on Discord and Steam where they can keep up to date with the latest from the development team and continue to provide feedback and shape future updates.
