Global competition enablement platform Stakester is announcing a partnership with GameByte, the world’s largest online gaming community.

Launching on Thursday, this partnership will enable Gamebyte’s 6.4 million gamers to set their own contests and compete with each other for real-life prizes such as cash. This is a first-time opportunity for gamers as they’ll be able to earn from their unique skills.

Stakester, co-founded by Gary Foreman (one of the creators of Grand Theft Auto), is a new app where gamers can take gaming to the next level and win real-life prizes from their hard earned skill. Who doesn’t want to earn money for doing something they love!

The partnership, inspired by insatiable competitiveness, allows gamers to set their own contests, adding a new layer of competition and entertainment.

GameByte, part of Social Chain, has over 6.4m followers on Facebook, with each member now able to up the ante across a host of their favourite games including DOTA 2 and Rocket League.

The partnership will launch on Thursday 27th February when The Crusher, one of the GameByte’s top FIFA competitors, will be taking live challenges on the Stakester App. All of the proceeds from the event will be donated to TeamTrees (https://teamtrees.org/).

Tom Fairey, CEO of Stakester said “This is awesome! We’re huge fans of GameByte and its community. We’re delighted to be able to give them a way to turn up the entertainment”

Head of Gaming at Social Chain Media, Rich White, said of the partnership, “Giving our community the opportunity to challenge each other for real-life prizes is a really exciting prospect and we can’t wait to kick things off with the main event.”
