Soulstonia is heading to Steam Next Fest from 19 to 26 October, but there’s no need to wait. Developer Gabriel’s Games has already released a free demo for Windows and macOS, with no playtime or progression limits.

The demo offers a surprisingly substantial chunk of the game. Players can complete Act I, tackle more than 15 quests, explore five regions and train over 20 skills all the way to level 99.

Better still, any progress made in the demo can carry over into Steam Early Access, which begins on 10 December 2026.

Explore Soulstonia at Your Own Pace

Soulstonia gives players a choice between hands-on adventuring and idle gameplay. You can directly control your Summoners or assign them tasks and leave them to get on with things.

Summoners can gather resources, craft equipment, fight enemies, collect loot and train skills independently. So, if you’d rather focus on exploring while someone else handles the resource grind, that’s very much an option.

Completing Act I also unlocks a second Summoner, allowing two characters to adventure together.

There’s plenty of ground to cover, too. The demo includes the full Act I campaign across the Grasslands, alongside access to four additional regions:

  • Desert
  • Jungle
  • North
  • Volcano

While all five regions are explorable, their later story quests will remain locked until Early Access to avoid spoilers.

Each new save also generates a different version of Soulstonia. Villages, roads, resources, enemies, landmarks and points of interest all change location, meaning subsequent adventures won’t follow exactly the same route.

With more than 20 combat, gathering and crafting skills available to develop, there’s plenty to keep your Summoners occupied.

Soulstonia Demo Progress Carries Into Early Access

One of the demo’s biggest draws is that none of your hard-earned progress needs to go to waste.

Gabriel’s Games has confirmed that demo saves will transfer into Soulstonia’s Early Access release on 10 December 2026. Existing Soulstonia Playtest saves will also transfer automatically into the demo.

There’s no ticking clock, either. The demo will remain playable after Steam Next Fest ends on 26 October, giving players plenty of time to explore, experiment and push their skills towards level 99.

Soulstonia will launch as a free-to-play title on Steam Early Access on 10 December 2026.

You can download the free Soulstonia demo on Steam right now or wishlist the full game ahead of its December release.
