Ubisoft has lifted the lid on Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 at the 2026 Six Invitational in Paris. And yes, it is a big one.

From a full Metal Gear Solid crossover starring Solid Snake to Ranked 3.0, the new Legend Division playlist, R6 ShieldGuard anti-cheat upgrades and a fresh map called Calypso Casino, Year 11 is all about sharpening Siege’s core 5v5 edge.

Season 1, Operation Silent Hunt, kicks things off on 3 March. As per the press release, the focus is clear: strengthen the competitive foundation, refine Ranked and double down on what makes Siege tick.

Operation Silent Hunt Brings Solid Snake to Siege

Season 1 introduces a permanent new operator from KONAMI’s METAL GEAR SOLID series: Solid Snake.

The iconic attacker arrives with a brand-new intel-gathering gadget never before seen in Siege, alongside the TACIT .45. This semi-automatic pistol features an integrated suppressor and is built for covert operations. In short, it fits Snake perfectly.

Expect stealth, agility and recon-focused gameplay designed to give attacking teams the edge.

Ubisoft is also rolling out a limited-time 4v4 infiltration mode called the Redacted event. Snake and Zero lead a squad of elite operators to recover stolen data. Fans can also unlock crossover skins, including Jackal as Gray Fox and Ash as Meryl. Even better, David Hayter lends his iconic voice to Snake’s in-game cues.

There is also a special mission for Dual Front titled Last Assignment, described as a nod to long-time Metal Gear Solid fans.

New 1v1 Arcade Mode and Map Modernisations

Season 1 is not just about Snake.

For two weeks, a new 1v1 Arcade mode will test pure gun skill and movement. Short rounds. No distractions. Just mechanical prowess. It is Siege stripped back to its fundamentals.

Meanwhile, three modernised maps are on the way. Oregon, Coastline and Villa will receive visual upgrades and new destructible elements.

However, Season 1 will mark the end of Dual Front. After one final Metal Gear Solid-themed event, the mode will be removed. According to Ubisoft, this shift allows the team to focus entirely on the core 5v5 experience while carrying forward key technology developed through Dual Front.

Season 1 also introduces a new seasonal cadence. Expect four balancing updates, two Ranked map rotations and a meta shift centred on Entry and Roaming, driven by changes to Skopos, Alibi and Ela.

Ranked 3.0, Legend Division and R6 ShieldGuard

Looking beyond Season 1, Year 11 ramps up competitive integrity.

R6 ShieldGuard Secure Platform

PC players will see the rollout of R6 ShieldGuard Secure Platform, a secure boot integration that adds a deeper anti-cheat protection layer. The aim is simple: protect competitive integrity where it matters most.

Ranked 3.0 and Legend Division

Year 11 also brings Ranked 3.0 updates and a brand-new competitive playlist called Legend Division in Season 3.

Legend Division is a solo-queue playlist designed for top-tier players. It raises the stakes and reinforces Siege’s 5v5 competitive core. If you think you are elite, this is where you prove it.

Calypso Casino and Operator Updates

Season 2 introduces Calypso Casino, a brand-new map inspired by Rainbow’s classic Vegas era. Built with modern competitive standards in mind, it will launch directly into Ranked.

That same season also features an Operator remaster. Dokkaebi evolves into a high-pressure intel-denial attacker with a new weapon and a reinforced combat identity.

Season 3 adds a new Defender focused on countering shields, alongside a long-term progression system called Operator Mastery. This system allows players to level up every operator over time. There will also be a limited-time 3v3 Arcade mode.

Across Year 11, players can expect three modernised maps per season.

Social HUB and Hostage Rework in Season 4

Season 4 rounds things off with the introduction of the Social HUB.

This in-game space allows players to connect with friends, send invites and manage squads across platforms. A rework of Hostage is also planned to ensure the mode aligns with Siege’s tactical DNA and competitive standards.

Full details for Season 4 will arrive later this year.

Rainbow Six Mobile Launches Globally

Before Year 11 even begins, Rainbow Six Mobile launches globally on 23 February for iOS and Android.

Players will have access to more than 20 operators across iconic maps such as Bank, Border, Clubhouse, Oregon and Villa. Modes include Bomb, Bomb Rush, Team Deathmatch, Ranked, Quick Play and Private matches.

Mobile will feature seasonal updates and 5v5 gameplay built around drones, barricades, cameras and traps. In other words, Siege on the go.

Year 11 Is About Refining the Core

If there is a theme to Rainbow Six Siege Year 11, it is focus.

Between Ranked 3.0 updates, Legend Division, R6 ShieldGuard anti-cheat, Calypso Casino and the arrival of Solid Snake, Ubisoft is doubling down on competitive 5v5.

As per the press release, this roadmap reinforces Siege’s commitment to community priorities and long-term growth as a top tactical shooter.

Snake is here. Ranked is evolving. And Siege is sharpening its blade for Year 11.
