Indie oddballs Wristwork have officially unveiled their next game, and it’s… well, a pigeon dating sim of sorts. Pigeon: A Love Story flapped into view during the Six One Indie showcase, promising players a meditative, almost-impossible challenge: find your one true pigeon among hundreds of thousands of birds flying around life-size city maps. Yep, that’s the game.
Originally a cult hit on iPhone before vanishing from the App Store, Pigeon: A Love Story is returning in expanded form on PC, Mac and Linux in 2026. Wishlist it now on Steam.
Love in a Flock of Feathers
Armed with the studio’s custom Pigeon-Sim™ tech, you’ll glide through sprawling replicas of London, New York, Tokyo, and other “pigeon capitals,” searching for The One. Every street, every building, every pigeon is recreated, and your task is to spot the soulmate hiding in the chaos.
But it’s not just about squinting at flocks for hours. Pigeon: A Love Story offers different ways to play:
- Solo searching – chill out to the meditative soundtrack and zone in on your quest for love.
- Coo-op multiplayer – team up with a mate to search together, race to find the right pigeon first, or just track each other down in the crowd.
- Passive Mode – let the game run screensaver-style, perfect for when you just want city vibes and background cooing.
As the devs describe it: “A slow game made for fast times.”
