RuneScape: Dragonwilds just dropped its biggest update yet, with version 0.9 adding a brand-new Ranged Skill, powerful new Spells, and a full Creative Mode for builders who just want to chill and craft without limits.
First up, the new Ranged Skill lets you take on Ashenfall from a distance. Grab a Crossbow, the new mid-range weapon, and start levelling up to 50. Along the way you’ll unlock new Spells, including the crowd-control favourite Snare, which roots enemies in place, and Spectral Arrows, which let you enchant your shots with Astral Magic to pierce through multiple targets.
If survival stress isn’t your thing, Creative Mode is here to scratch that base-building itch. Every building piece is unlocked, resources are unlimited, and you won’t have to worry about Hunger, Thirst, or Rest. You can build entire kingdoms without a single enemy getting in the way.
The update also brings plenty of new features and tweaks:
- Ranged Skill – Level up to 50, unlock new spells, and craft arrows with the Fletching Table.
- Crossbows – A versatile one-handed weapon that still lets you carry a shield or torch.
- Skill Spells – Try out Snare and Spectral Arrows for new tactical options.
- Creative Mode – Build without limits, with maxed-out Skills and no survival constraints.
- Multiplayer Protection – Lock down your bases, chests, and gravestones with new privacy tools and Protection Totems.
- Custom World Settings – Adjust enemy health, hunger, thirst, crafting speeds, and more to create your perfect survival (or non-survival) world.
- Quality of Life Fixes – Better controller support, custom key rebinding, more character slots, and a bunch of stability improvements.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds 0.9 is live now on Steam Early Access for £24.99 / $29.99 / €29.99.
