HoYoverse is kicking off the next chapter of Zenless Zone Zero with Version 2.6, “Encore for an Old Dream,” landing February 6—and it’s bringing lights, idols, and a whole lot of dreamy chaos to the streets of New Eridu.
As per the press release, this update serves as a stylish breather after the drama of Season 2’s climax. Gilded Carrot Day is in full swing, and with it comes the highly anticipated debut of Angels of Delusion, ZZZ’s new idol group—complete with new agents, rhythm gameplay, sparkly outfits, and yes, a 4 billion Polychrome prize pool.
Angels, Anomalies, and Hammer Time
The spotlight’s on Sunna and Aria, the first playable members of Angels of Delusion—and they’re not just here to sing.
Sunna is an S-Rank Physical Support agent who boosts her team while smashing enemies with her massive hammer. Her Bubblegum companion marks foes with Cat’s Gaze, exploding for extra damage and attack buffs. Aria, the group’s Ether Anomaly frontwoman, brings dual-form flair with a construct mode and a flashy idol projection. She’s all about high burst damage against enemies already reeling from Attribute Anomalies.
Tagging along is Bangboo Biggest Fan, a backstage MVP that heals the crew and amps their attack—especially if you’re rocking a full idol squad.
Outfits? Of course. Both idols are getting snazzy new looks, with Aria’s outfit switching up depending on her form. Meanwhile, S-Rank agents Yixuan and Yuzuha are also returning for reruns.
Backstage Shenanigans and New Game Modes
The version’s main event, A Harmony of Delusions, lets you manage the idol group from behind the scenes. Think training schedules, social media strategies, and rhythm gameplay mixed with a fresh Marcel Adventure and some light industry chaos.
Looking for a more tactical fix? Hollow Zero is getting the new Operation Matrix mode—weekly themed challenges with rotating mechanics, team compositions, and expanded gear systems. There’s also a new Sweep function to streamline your runs.
Celebrate Gilded Carrot Day in Style
From now through late February, log in for daily goodies—including 3,300 Polychromes—and a crack at sharing in a whopping 4 billion Polychrome pool. Agents Lycaon and Harumasa get a glow-up, and Pan Yinhu is getting a sleek new skin via a limited-time event.
