Kuro Games has dropped a content-packed update for Wuthering Waves, and it’s a big one. Version 2.4, titled ‘Lightly We Toss The Crown’, is now live across all platforms and brings a new region, powerful new Resonators, story quests, outfits, events, and more ways to dive deeper into this sci-fi action RPG.
Meet Cartethyia and Lupa
Two new Resonators join the fight: Cartethyia, a force of wind and fury, and Lupa, a fierce new warrior with mysterious ties to the game’s evolving lore. Each will headline upcoming banners in the “Dance in the Storm’s Wake” and “Roar of Triumph” phases, alongside new weapons Defier’s Thorn and Wildfire Mark.
Explore Septimont
The brand-new Septimont region is here, packed with secrets, enemies, and worldbuilding. It expands the map with 10 new Echoes (including the likes of Spectro Drake and Kelpie) and fresh environmental challenges to conquer.

To celebrate the update, players can claim 10 free Radiant Tides through in-game mail just by logging in before the Gifts of Grand Opening event ends. There’s also a 7-day login event, new commission challenges, and exploration-based events like Septimont Travel Atlas and Uncovering Past Heroes.
More Content and Optimisations
Alongside the main quests Shadow of Glory and Flames of Heart, players will notice new outfits for Changli and Carlotta, a permanent challenge mode called Banners Never Fall, and an in-game Guide Depot to help theorycrafters and newcomers alike.
Visual tweaks, fast-track systems, and Focus Mode for quests are also part of this hefty quality-of-life boost.
