Get ready to rev your engines and unleash some serious carnage, Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks has officially blasted out of early access and is now live on Steam.

After a wild early access run with over 250,000 players, this chaotic, ork-fuelled combat racer is back with a massive 1.0 update. Not only has published Wired Productions taken over the reins, but they’ve also ripped microtransactions straight out of the game. That’s right, no more cash grabs, just pure, unfiltered mayhem.

The full launch brings loads of new content, including:

  • New Game Mode – Free Roam: Mess about on any map, create your own races, or just practise smashing stuff.
  • New Vehicle – Trukk: A heavy-duty, gun-packed beast full of rowdy orks.
  • New Maps – Da Dust Up and Da Gorge: Visually awesome, full of chaos.
  • Player-hosted games: Make your own lobbies with custom rules.
  • Ork Bit Bosses: Customer your own Ork avatar to show off.
  • Alternative Weapons: More unlockable gear to mix up how you race and wreak.

It’s a big step up and the best version of Speed Freeks yet, whether you’re playing solo, online, or getting mates involved for a LAN-style bash.

The game’s out now on Steam for just £12.79 with a launch discount. If you jumped into the early access, good news, you’re getting the full update completely free!

Wired Productions is also throwing a party for the launch as part of the Warhammer Skulls Event, which is happening at 5PM BST. Head over to their official Warhammer site for a peek at what’s next for Speed Freeks.
