At Gamescom Opening Night Live, Paradox Interactive, White Wolf, and The Chinese Room finally gave fans what they’ve been craving — a release date. Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 launches October 21, 2025 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Oh, and there’s a new playable character reveal to sweeten (or maybe darken) the deal.

Meet Fabien, the Malkavian Detective

Players won’t just be stepping into the shoes of Elder vampire Phyre. This time, you’ll also unravel parts of the story as Fabien, a Malkavian detective with fractured perception and a mind as sharp as it is unstable. His neo-noir murder mystery runs parallel to Phyre’s journey, blending 1920s Seattle flashbacks with a surreal perspective that makes it hard to know what’s real and what’s madness. Exactly what you’d expect from a Malkavian, then.

Pre-Orders and Editions

Bloodlines 2 is up for pre-order now, with a few tempting extras:

  • Standard Edition ($59.99): Includes the Bloodlines Nostalgia Jukebox, an in-game Haven item packed with music from Rik Schaffer, composer of the original cult classic.
  • Deluxe Edition ($69.99): Adds Santa Monica Memories, a cosmetic pack nodding to the original game.
  • Premium Edition ($89.99): Includes both Santa Monica Memories and Shadows & Silk, letting players unlock the Lasombra and Toreador clans right from launch.

Everything in the Deluxe and Premium bundles unlocks immediately when the game drops on October 21. Physical editions are also on the way via PLAION for collectors who want something to put on their shelf.

The Return to Seattle’s Dark Underworld

As Phyre, you’ll stalk the neon-lit streets of modern Seattle, meeting power-hungry Kindred, regaining your Elder abilities, and carefully avoiding Masquerade violations. Four clans are available in the base game — Brujah, Tremere, Banu Haqim, and Ventrue — each with unique Disciplines, playstyles, and their own vampire swagger.

Meanwhile, Fabien’s narrative dives into the past, unraveling his murder through his unique Malkavian abilities and fractured vision of reality. The dual-character setup promises a mix of political intrigue, personal horror, and just enough chaos to keep you guessing.

Bloodlines 2 is stepping out of the shadows at last — bringing back the cult classic’s mix of horror, politics, and bloody action, with fresh twists to keep Seattle’s vampire underworld as dangerous as ever. October can’t come soon enough.
