Netmarble’s open-world action RPG The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin is one step closer to launch. During Gamescom 2025’s Opening Night Live, the publisher dropped a shiny new trailer and opened up global registration for the game’s Closed Beta Test (CBT). If you’ve ever wanted to explore Britannia with Meliodas himself as your guide, now’s your chance.

A Bigger, Wilder Britannia

Narrated by Meliodas, the latest trailer teases just how ambitious Origin is. We’re talking a fully explorable continent, complete with underwater dives, sky-soaring glides, puzzles, fishing, and plenty of other side activities to keep you distracted between demon beatdowns. Of course, the combat is the main event, with flashy encounters against the likes of Monster Albion and Gray Demons showing off the game’s unique battle style.

Closed Beta Details

The trailer ended with the big announcement: global CBT registration is now open. Signing up is simple — head over to the official site, drop in your email, and fill out a short survey. Selected players and the beta schedule will be revealed later, but if you get in, you’ll be among the first to experience this multiverse spin on the iconic series.

Building the Hype

Based on the smash-hit manga and anime with over 55 million copies sold worldwide, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin promises an original storyline, crossover heroes from both The Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse, and an expansive open world to explore. After appearances at Summer Game Fest and the Future Games Show, its Gamescom reveal keeps momentum rolling — with Tokyo Game Show up next.

Global Launch Incoming

Set to release later in 2025, The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin will launch simultaneously on PS5 (console exclusive), Steam, and mobile, supporting 12 languages at launch.

So yeah, if you’ve ever wanted to fish, fly, and fight Gray Demons all in one afternoon, now’s the time to register and dive in.
